Since 2002, I've been a registered Yoga Teacher, certified as an ACE Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor, bringing a holistic perspective to my approach. I emphasize functional movements, balance enhancement, yoga, and breath, considering the whole being. Tailoring workouts to individuals' current physical conditions, my focus is on postural support to promote body openness, stability, and flexibility, ultimately reducing discomfort and an appreciation for one’s Body Temple. My unique perspective as a bodyworker adds a distinct dimension to my approach an East/West Integration.

Body Sessions

Yoga & Buddist Movements

As a certified yoga instructor since 2002, my classes offer a unique blend of qigong movements, Energy Medicine techniques, Buddhist movement forms, and self-care practices. I harmonize the body's energy systems, utilize the Five Elements for emotional release, and incorporate Somatic Experiencing techniques for emotional support. Experience a multi-layered and invigorating yoga session meeting you where you are at.

Myofascial Stretching

Incorporating extended, active stretches lasting from 2 to 5 minutes to target the body's connective tissue. This approach has been immensely beneficial in maintaining my physical well-being as I've grown older.

Meditative Movement 

Drawing inspiration from a gentle standing movement practice rooted in Tibetan Buddhism that I acquired during my time in Thailand. I incorporate "The Five Tibetans" practice, emphasizing spinal pumping, along with a range of postures that target deep spinal movements and often overlooked joints. Water Movement

Instructing therapeutic and nurturing techniques in an aquatic environment, harnessing the buoyancy and resistance of water to enhance balance and facilitate bodily mobility. Water presents a distinct approach for incorporating structural support, strength development, and unrestricted movement. I have been sharing my knowledge of aquatic skills for more than four decades.

Chakra Yoga

Incorporating movements that are tailored to address specific chakras while providing education on the seven primary chakras within our body.

Postural Support / Functional Movement Skills

Drawing upon my expertise in movement, fitness, and various systems, I will design a tailored regimen to aid your body in healing and achieving the necessary balance for a more harmonious bodily system. Additionally, following a bodywork session, I can introduce additional essential tools and support in a distinctive manner.

Energy Medicine Yoga

It corporates yoga with Energy Medicine by Donna Eden. Lauren Walker created the bridge. The key is to work with our energy. We work on meridian lines, spiral movements, chakra’s, the five elements/emotions in the elements and other energies to increase energy in our body. Our bodies are electromagnetic. We want our bodies to move in balance and ease.

Qigong

This is an ancient movement form from China. I teach Primordial Five Elements honoring our organs bringing movements and sounds to specific organs.

Tools: Foamroller, Golfballs, Others

Learning how to effectively employ a diverse set of tools to assist your body in achieving a state of fluid movement and pain-free mobility while releasing tense muscle patterns. 

Health is our birthright, not disease; strength our roots not weakness; courage not fear, joy not sorrow; peace not anxiety; knowledge not ignorance. The one with health and strength of body, soundness of mind, with virtue and spirit is a real gift among all humanity. Such a being possesses the true treasure of living life.
